Welcome to my wee blog. This is all very new to me but as my mother used to say:

"You might as well be oot the world as oot the fashion" - so here goes...

Christine Revell Children's Home

Christine Revell Children’s Home

The staff of Christine Revell do truly wonderful work looking after children from newborn to age six. Many of the wee ones are children of addicts with all the attendant medical

When you visit the home the one thing these children want is your TIME - they want you to talk to them, sit them on your knee, read them a story. They don't want 'things' they
want a little bit of personal attention. Paul and I donate to Christine Revell through St Lazerous, an international organisation affiliated to the Anglican Church. St Lazerous in Cape Town donate to a number of very worthwhile charities via a Wish List or by carrying out work. For example they recently decorated and furnished two bedrooms for families to stay at a children's hospice. A stoop was built at Christine Revell and they regularly donate to them everything from blocks of swimming lessons to kitchen equipment. Last year they also started to support a care home for the elderly in a very poor area.

The past two years our donations have purchased mini mountains of Pampers. Practical rather than glamorous, just like me!!!
